A Note on the Beauty of the In-Between

A Note on the Beauty of the In-Between

There is something about this time of year - the way the light changes and the world seems to seek a bit more warmth - and that makes us stop and look inward. It’s a season that invites us to be still, even for just a moment, amidst the rush.

I recently sat with a thought that felt like a quiet blessing: "You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress."

It’s a perspective we often forget. We live in a world that tells us we are either "there" or "not yet." We treat our lives like projects to be finished, waiting for the day we finally feel "complete" to truly celebrate ourselves.

But the real magic, the kind of enduring grace that doesn't depend on a date on the calendar, is realizing that the masterpiece is happening right now.

Whether you are 20 and just starting to find your voice, or 50 and rediscovering your light, please remember : You don't need to reach a final version to be worthy of celebration.

You are a masterpiece in the way you show up for those you love. You are a masterpiece in your quiet resilience and the grace you carry through ordinary days. And at the exact same time, you are a work in progress. You are allowed to be learning, healing, and evolving. You are allowed to have unfinished chapters and unpolished edges.

As we move through these days of soft lights and gathered moments, I hope you grant yourself the permission to be both. You don’t need to wait for a milestone or a "new version" of yourself to recognize the beauty that is already there.

In this season of giving, perhaps the most honest gift we can give ourselves is acceptance. To look back at where we’ve been with gratitude, and to look at where we are going with peace.

May your days be filled with quiet joy, exactly as you are.

Enjoy the holidays, cherish those who are important in your life and above all, cherish yourself.
